P: I ever heard a story at an English speaking contest.
J: about what?
P: A girl on the playground.
J: How was she?
P: She came from Europe, and her name has faded from our memory. In the competition she had been in lead though she stumbled near the terminus and her leg was injured.
J: It's a shame!
P: Yeah. Competitors passed her from behind in succession till only her weak and lonely figure remained on the track. Doctors came and offered to take her way. But she refused.
J: Oh...
J: 噢...
P: With the only strength left in her, she managed to get up and shuffled1 feebly to the end point with drops of blood along her trail..
J: Oh, My dear!
P: Though she failed in the race, the girl won the applause from people all over the world.
J: How moving! Until now I know what the perserverance is.
P: It was she who instilled2 perserverance in our mind.
